Mount Pleasant, SC – Political newcomer Ben Pogue, Democratic nominee for South Carolina Statehouse District 110, filed the results of his first fundraising quarter today and in the process, set several records for the district that includes areas of downtown Charleston and Mount Pleasant.

  • Pogue’s campaign became the first SC-110 campaign in history to break 200 individual contributions in quarter one, with a total of 229. The former record quarter one was set in 2008 by Chip Limehouse who had 98.
  • Pogue’s campaign received the most contributed monies in quarter one for SC-110, collecting a total of $45,019.

Pogue said “The level of support is humbling. This is the power of community in action. Our campaign is made up of people who invest in their neighbors and neighborhoods. We care more about solutions than about what party our representatives come from and who gets credit.”
